What we did not see
It was a packed schedule with enough downtime built in for recovery and we never got to do the "B-Team" in my list of interesting things to do in Beijing.
- Jingshann Park : The Hill behind the Forbidden City, which gives you a view of the City
- Botanical Gardens : Next to Summer Palace, Playgrounds for the Empress
- Galaxy Soho: The absolutely stunning Architecture
- Parts of the Summer Palace:
- Beihai Park : The massive Park and Lakes next to the Forbidden City
- The Egg - National Theater/Opera House: Across from the Forbidden City, had only a glimpse from one side.
- Lama Temple : Passed by the outside
- Phoenix Media Center: A New outrageous structure associated with a Television Broadcaster
- International Sculpture Park: Didn't have great reviews, but want to make my own.
- Ghost Street and (Guijie) Red Lantern Street @ Dongzheimen
- Peking duck - While I was not about to consume it, I wonder if my meat-eating boys should have sampled it
I'm sure there are many more, but Beijing calls me for another visit.
